National association for the blind is a national level organisation for visually impaired people (Blind People). Different organisations working for the welfare of bilnd people and individuals can be member of this organisation. Dr. Rajendra Vyas, Dr. Jagdish Patel & Shri Niranjan Pandya the Gujarati Prominent blind members among a Group of the Blind People, Started this organisation for the purpose of presenting the voice of blind society in the various schemes formed after the independence of our country. They laid a strong foundation by establishing specific direction by which they made National association for the blind foremost institution of the nation.
At Present National association for the blind has a state branch in every state. Among them National association for the blind -GUJARAT State Branch started in 1965 AD, occupies leading position, National association for the blind (NAB) GUJARAT has done unique work in integrated Education Schemes, Rural Rehabilitation, Employment, Public Awareness for inclusive Society, blindness and Related cultural activities. National association for the blind - Gujarat State branch spreading aroma of service through its 23 District Branches and 4 Taluka Branches.
After the division of KHEDA District in KHEDA and ANAND district the National association for the blind -ANAND district branch established on 21st December 2008, with the main purpose of education, training, employment & Rehabilitation by various activities for the visually impaired people and also for other DIVYANG people.
Over a short period of time NAB-Anand district branch has carried out following activities with the help of noble citizens, donors & voluntary organisations.

The National Association for the Blind is the largest organisation in India and as a District branch of National Association for the blind(Anand), we started by small office in the year 2008 and today going towards a big goal of building a huge centre with the objective of education, economical & empowernment of the visually impaired(Blind) People.
Achieving the goals regarding, Economic, social and educational empowerment of DIVYANG society by organisiing positive & result oriented schemes & programmes in Collaboration with well trained staff, social institutes and other stake holders to create a hamonious Society.
People with all type of disabilities will get all need base services easily & rightfully. They will have quality life and will be an important part of their society and our nation.
The eyes are useless when the mind is blind
Our target is to assist all the apporoximately 7000 visually impaired and 25000 disabled persons of the district by linking them with the above objectives. Hope that by generous as well as philanthropic persons of the society Will cooperate by all means. Free hostel accommodation and meals for visually impaired students. ( Boys and Girls Hostel)
Free of charge training of Computer, Mobile, Mobility, Braille writing and reading, music Etc
Training and Encouragement programmes of the sports included in sp. Olympic, sp. Khel Mahakumbha.
Training and encouraging programmes for the competition like Garba, music, chess, debates, cooking competition, cricket etc. organized by different institutes and NGOs at state and National Level.
Training classes for various types of skill enhancement. Coaching and guidance for competitive examinations.
Providing volunteers as writer for Examiniationas of Visually Impaired Students
To assist the visuaaly impaired people for government schemes and other beneficiary programmes.
Providing various useful things in day to day life gifted by donors.
Providing free of cost medical services for students during hostel stay.
Arranging general health check-up, dental check-up, eye check-up etc. camps for the health baterment of blind society.
Providing knowledge / entertainment / education through celebration of festivals like Garba, Sangeet, Ganesh Mahotsav and Navratri.
Arranging College and school fees by donors for needy visually impaired students. Preparing audio recording material for educational syllabus.
Employments oriented efforts for visually impaired and disabled persons. Enhancing Knowledge of visually impaired persons by Digital Library.
Conducting life partner selection programs & registering in group marriages arranged by different NGOs. Being arbitrator in scocial issues and providing legal advice.
